About Us

The development and aid scene in sub-saharan Africa has multiple organization be it donor agency, multilateral development banks, international non-governmental organization and many philanthropic organisations, all of which work to support Africa’s development. Each of these development focus Agencies are involved in direct project implementation or funding some organisations to implement a development focused project. These projects they run ranges from small one in district to national level projects. Also, there are many development professionals working in this space in Africa.

In spite of the work these organisations and individuals do, these development initiatives do not always get the necessary.  The citizens of the countries targeted by the Donor organizations do not understand the motivations for the support and how and why the organisations seek to work to support their individual welfare and national development. Again, many donor organisations may not know in full the work of different organisations, what has been done elsewhere, who is in the country, who is doing what. Further, professional in the space lack a dedicated forum where the can interact and make themselves known to their peers. Africa also lacks a one stop platform where the policy makers, development professionals, students and policy makers can access news on development initiatives by various organization.

DevFront is established as a dedicated platform for development work in African. It will become a platform where Development Organizations share the stories of their work in Africa and the progress they make. In addition, the platform will cover stories about development initiatives and report on them, create database of development professionals in country, advertise development jobs in Africa, advertise procurement requests by development Agencies and hold fora for the discussion of development issues in Africa.
